Although trombonist Tuhkanen plays and consumes various kinds of music, jazz and Jamaican styles have always been the most important sources of inspiration for him. Known for his rock-solid section-playing, Tuhkanen’s soulful and energetic way of improvising received a young woman to open up to him after the show as follows: "When you played that solo I almost puked.”
