Mikko “Gunu” Karjalainen

Mikko ’Gunu’ Karjalainen has worked over two decades in the Finnish jazz field. He is a distinguist trumpeter, pianist, composer, condustor, teacher and a club host. He is known for his lyrical skills, both on and off the bandstand. He has performed with John Scofield, Kenny Garrett and Jerry Bergonzi among others. Music written by Gunu is frequently played by Gunu´s Thang and his Scandinavian group K.Å.M. trio.
